Team Fortress 2 Engineer Update Site

July 9th, 2010

Great job on the graphic design of TF2′s Engineer Update:

View it live on the web at http://www.teamfortress.com/engineerupdate/. It’s a shame that the image (the site is 4 images placed next to each other) doesn’t link to anywhere particularly informative or interesting – they could have linked to more information on the shotgun Frontier Justice.

Silvius Kitchen Trolley

April 5th, 2010

For a Parametric assignment, I had to create a graphic report describing the parametric nature of my object, its rationale and its elements. It was also to include ‘progression’ shots – which I made into another panel. I used a combination of Revit (to make the parametric model), 3DS Max with V-Ray to render and InDesign to create the panels.

‘The Blueprint 3′ album cover

March 5th, 2010

Dan Tobin Smith’s team created the album cover for Jay-Z’s ‘The Blueprint 3′.

I initially thought the cover was created by capturing a plain white scene with red stripes overlayed in digital post-production – but this photo (could be a render) shows the objects physically painted.

NT Greek Wallpaper

February 23rd, 2010

Wallpapers don’t all have to be just pretty to look at – they can be educational as well. In taking the ‘Introduction to New Testament Greek‘ elective this semester, I created a wallpaper to help me learn the letters.

UNSW FBE Bb Guide Cover

February 17th, 2010

I used a red-orange gradient over the building (to reflect the colours of the Red Centre) and green over the trees (to reflect the colours of the environment, trees and being ‘green’) for splashes of colour.

Jonah – Missing the Heart of God

February 16th, 2010

I used elements in the book of Jonah to create a collage that would end up in the shape of a heart: a main theme of the retreat.

Originally, the image was a lot darker – I thought I’d compensate for the lack of darkness in printers – but I then had to lighten some of the images because most of them printed solid black!

The ‘Jonah’ title is in Smudger LET font.
